How to pack for FBW

Under FBW the batch travels to a Wildberries warehouse and sits there until it sells. The packaging has to survive intake, storage, picking and the trip to the buyer — and the person picking the order will not be yours.

Every unit separately, and with a barcode

Every unit is packed individually, whether sold singly or as a set. The packaging must close tightly, not open under pressure, protect from damp and dirt, and not be noticeably larger than the product itself.

A barcode in the agreed format is mandatory. This is the key difference from FBS: there the sticker belongs to one order, here it is the product code by which the warehouse will find the item in a week or in a month.

  • Factory packaging does NOT count as individual — it needs its own on top
  • Part of the electronics category is the exception; everything else needs it
  • All units of one SKU in a box or on a pallet are packed identically

Dimensions depend on the delivery type

Box and supersafe: up to 25 kg, sum of sides up to 160 cm. Mono-pallet: up to 25 kg, one side up to 120 cm, sum of sides up to 200 cm.

Mono-pallets of clothing, footwear, food and cosmetics are stricter: one side up to 80 cm, sum of sides up to 160 cm. Going over turns the item into an oversized one, and those go to freight warehouses only.

Euro pallets only

Warehouses accept deliveries exclusively on wooden pallets of the European standard: 120 × 80 cm, 14.5 cm high. A pallet of any other size is grounds to turn the truck away at the gate.

Long goods (one side from 50 cm with the shortest side under 25 cm — blinds, curtain rails, roller blinds) go onto a mono-pallet inside transport boxes, no more than 25 units each, stacked so the marking reads without unloading the pallet.

The mistake that breaks the count

Product barcodes must not go on the transport box. It looks sensible — «so you can see what is inside» — but on scanning the warehouse counts the box as a single unit, and a discrepancy appears that you will then have to dispute.

  • Polyethylene: from 25 µm for textiles, from 50 µm for outerwear and liquids
  • Zip bags are additionally secured so they do not open in transit
  • 18+ — opaque packaging, security bag carries the barcode only
  • The Wildberries logo should not appear on individual packaging

What we do

We receive the batch with a count, pack every unit to its category requirements, print and apply barcodes, assemble boxes and pallets, apply transport labels and deliver to the warehouse.

We can make boxes to the size of your product: marketplace logistics is charged by volume, and the spare centimetres in every box turn into money on every delivery.

Questions

Frequently asked

Does a product already in a factory box still need packing?
Almost always yes: factory packaging counts as part of the product. Part of the electronics category is the exception — we will check your specific item.
Can we bring our own pallets?
Only if they are wooden pallets of the European standard, 120 × 80 cm. The warehouse will not accept other sizes.
Which is better — FBW or FBS?
It depends on your turnover. FBW is calmer to handle, but the batch is frozen until it sells and storage is paid. FBS gives a commission discount for fast dispatch and does not freeze the goods, but every order has to be picked. We will cost both against your numbers.
