How to pack for FBS
Under FBS the goods sit with you (or with us), the order is picked for a specific buyer and travels to them in the packaging you made. That is why the rules are stricter: this is the packaging a person will actually see and open.
Two layers, not one
Wildberries requires two kinds of packaging, and they are different things. The individual one is what the buyer receives — the order sticker goes on it. The transport box is what the batch travels to the sorting centre in.
Shipping without a transport box is not allowed at all: not in sacks, not in loose bags, not unpacked, not in open boxes. This is one of the common reasons intake turns away an entire shipment.

- Individual: bag, security bag, box, tube, shrink film, bubble wrap, nozzle cap
- Transport: strong corrugated board, closed on every side, no damp
- Tape is not packaging on its own — it only secures what is allowed
- Nor is stretch film, except in categories that permit it (car parts, for one)
The order sticker — the key difference from FBW
Every unit gets an order sticker with a QR code. This is not the product barcode: the sticker is unique to each order and is printed after the order arrives. Hence the hurry at the warehouse — the clock from order to sorting centre is what the commission depends on.
The code must scan first time. Covering it with tape is not allowed, even clear tape: glare gets in the way of the scanner.

Shrink film: where it works and where it will not save you
Shrink film is our main method, but Wildberries does not allow it for everything. On its own it is permitted for books, for bottles, tubes and jars in the Beauty and Household Chemicals categories, and wherever the category rules name it explicitly.
And separately: shrink film does NOT replace protection for glass, porcelain, ceramics or brittle plastic. The film holds the shape and keeps out damp and dirt, but it does not absorb impact. Breakables need bubble wrap, and often a box on top of it.

Dimensions and weight
For goods in individual packaging: up to 25 kg, one side up to 120 cm, the sum of three sides up to 200 cm. Anything larger counts as oversized and follows separate rules.
If you hand the batch to a pickup point rather than a sorting centre, the box limits are tighter: one side up to 80 cm, sum of three sides up to 140 cm, weight up to 25 kg.
Film thickness and special cases
Polyethylene has a minimum thickness: from 25 µm for textiles, from 50 µm for outerwear, liquids, cosmetics and household chemicals, from 70 µm for heavy, loose and automotive goods. The bag must be sealed or taped so it will not open under pressure.
18+ goods take opaque packaging only, and a security bag carries the barcode alone: no name, nothing that reveals the contents.

- Fragile — at least two layers of bubble wrap, packed tight in a box
- Liquids — caps, dispensers and spouts fixed with plugs
- Sharp parts covered, or they will tear open neighbouring orders
- All units of one SKU in a box are packed identically
What we do
We pick the order, pack it to the requirements of its category, print and apply the sticker, check it with a scanner right after application, assemble the box and take it to the sorting centre or a pickup point.
The scanner check is not a formality: a printed but unreadable label looks fine and becomes a rejection at intake. That defect is invisible to the eye.
Frequently asked
- Can the factory packaging be enough?
- Usually not: factory packaging counts as part of the product and does not replace individual packaging. Some categories have exceptions — we will check yours.
- What happens if the sticker will not scan?
- The order may be refused at the sorting centre or marked as damaged, and repeated breaches can bring restrictions on the seller. We scan every label right after applying it, so unreadable ones never reach the marketplace.
- How does FBS packing differ from FBW?
- In the marking and in who receives it. Under FBS the packaging carries the QR sticker of a specific order and goes straight to the buyer. Under FBW it carries the product barcode and first sits in a Wildberries warehouse waiting for an order.
